Hickenlooper confident he won’t have to call special session

Gov. John Hickenlooper says he’s confident legislators’ delays in coming up with a state budget won’t push him to call a special session.

In an exclusive interview with Colorado Politics, the governor also chimed in with his thoughts on the race to take over his seat when he’s term-limited out of office in 2018, saying he doesn’t think Republican Arapahoe County D.A. George Brauchler stands a chance.

Watch highlights of the interview here. And coming up Thursday, we’ll bring you the governor’s latest thoughts on why he still keeps his distance from Colorado’s legal marijuana industry.
