Hickenlooper confident he won’t have to call special session
Gov. John Hickenlooper says he’s confident legislators’ delays in coming up with a state budget won’t push him to call a special session.
In an exclusive interview with Colorado Politics, the governor also chimed in with his thoughts on the race to take over his seat when he’s term-limited out of office in 2018, saying he doesn’t think Republican Arapahoe County D.A. George Brauchler stands a chance.
Meanwhile Hickenlooper remained tight-lipped about his own plans when he leaves the top office in our state, despite speculation that he could challenge Cory Gardner for his U.S. senate seats, or that he could even run for president.
