It’s down to a dozen days: CoPo coverage of Denver’s runoff election
You probably just got your ballot in the mail if you’re a Denver voter, and now you have just a few days left to decide how to fill it out.
Twelve days, to be exact:
? Twelve days to choose either Michael Hancock or Jamie Giellis as your next mayor.
? Twelve days to decide who the city’s next clerk and recorder will be.
? Twelve days to figure out whether any future bid by Denver to host the Olympic Games should go before voters first.
? Twelve days for residents of five council districts around the city to pick a new city council representative.
But you’d better get busy.
If you’re planning to return your ballot by mail, officials advise you do so no later than Saturday to ensure it’ll arrive by the June 4 deadline.
After that, you should drop off your ballot at one of the many ballot return boxes scattered around the city.
Or you can vote in person at a city Vote Center starting next Tuesday. (To find out where to drop your ballot or vote in person, visit DenverVotes.org/VoterInfo or call or text 303-653-9668.)
