Colorado Union of Taxpayers to laud pennywise lawmakers at breakfast Thursday

The Colorado Union of Taxpayers will hand out some awards and talk some statehouse politics at a breakfast Thursday at the Independence Institute in Denver.

Tickets, $5 for CUT members and $15 for non-members, are still available online.

Republican Senate President Kevin Grantham of Cañon City and House Assistant Minority Leader Cole Wist of Centennial will be the guest speakers at the legislative kickoff event.

The conservative group plans to honor its House champions, former Rep. Janak Joshi of Colorado Springs and Rep. Lori Saine of Dacono, and Senate champion Vicki Marble of Fort Collins.

Sen. Jerry Sonnenberg of Sterling and Rep. Stephen Humphrey of Severance were the group’s Senate and House “Taxpayer Guardians,” respectively.
