RTD releases public comment guidelines on new manager search
The Regional Transportation District board of directors has established procedures for the public to comment on the agency’s search for a new interim general manager and CEO.
Residents of the RTD service area can contact their elected director with comments, or e-mail the entire board at rtdgmsearch@rtd-Denver.com. There is also an online feedback form in English and Spanish, and responses are anonymous. The form allows respondents to select only one choice or “not sure,” and to explain their selection.
Jan. 23 at 5 p.m. is the deadline to submit comments. The information received is one of many components the board will use to make its decision.
On Jan. 28, directors will meet in a closed-door session before the public board meeting to deliberate. It may return behind closed doors after the meeting if more discussion is needed.
There are five finalists for the interim general manager position, who will replace outgoing CEO Dave Genova. He retires on Jan. 20.
Currently, the board is conducting background checks and reference calls. The agency has posted the candidates’ resumes here.
