FEEDBACK | Columnist joins in ‘anti-Trump persecution’ by media
I found Hal Bidlack’s judgement of President Trump to be disingenuous on several levels (“BIDLACK | President wouldn’t pass muster among the cadets he will address,” May 10).
First, he is the president. This is a president who has been extremely supportive of the military. He has increased funding and supported the armed forces to a level the past administration would never consider.
Does Mr. Trump fib? Perhaps. However, I think we all remember, “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, and if you like your plan you can keep your plan.” As a physician, I found that extremely disturbing, and we all knew it was a significant lie at the time.
Doesn’t it seem the left cannot separate form over function? The continued anti-Trump persecution by the majority of the press seems to be its own form of dishonor. In this, they seem to be in lock-step. The rhetoric of virtually every administration in history contains its own words of dishonor.
