The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel: Collaborations abound in local government
Let’s say you’re walking along Rood Avenue on a fall afternoon and you happen to see a city of Grand Junction work crew blowing out the sprinklers at City Hall. Next door at the county courthouse, a Mesa County compressor truck with a separate crew of county employees is doing the same.
This is the kind of thing that can make a taxpayer wince. Can’t the city and the county figure out a way to share resources, improve efficiency, end redundancies and save money?
