Cyberschoolers will descend on the Capitol Thursday
Colorado long has been in the forefront of education reform and school choice. As new and varied educational options have proliferated in our state, so have their stakeholders. Hence, Thursday’s planned “Cyberschool Day at the Capitol,” organized by the Colorado Coalition of Cyberschool Families, which in a press release promises the participation of “hundreds of parents, students and educators” representing online-based education.
From the group’s press statement:
Cyberschools provide a much-needed choice in education for many families whose children do not fit into the traditional brick-and-mortar school setting. For example, many children use the increased flexibility of cyberschools to learn at an accelerated pace or pursue other talents in sports and music. Cyberschools provide an important option in education for Colorado families and helps contribute to Colorado’s strong education framework.
