Jared Polis, hundreds attend Colorado Politics annual gathering

Hundreds of state Capitol regulars, advocates of all stripes, elected officials, business leaders and others attended Colorado Politics’ signature annual legislative gathering on April 4.

Gov. Jared Polis spoke about how Colorado is best positioned to face the challenges of the next century as it prepares to celebrate its 150th anniversary.

The governor struck a bipartisan tone and argued for a “disagreeing better,” a concept he has been touting in the last several months, along with Utah Gov. Spencer Cox. To “disagree better” doesn’t mean being nice, he said. Rather, it means working through incessant differences, primarily though difficult conversations, in order to find solutions to America’s most difficult problems.

The event’s sponsors are Roger Hutson, Civitas, Colorado Auto Dealers Association, Colorado Concern, Colorado Farm Bureau, Colorado Independent Liquor Stores United, Enstrom Candies, Husch Blackwell Strategies, PhRMA, Politcalworks, Sewald Hanfling, Strategies 360, and Western Resource Advocates.
