News: The 2024 Mile High Dreams Gala: A Toast to Our Teams brought 1,800 fans of the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rapids and Colorado Mammoth to Ball Arena on Jan. 11 to mix and mingle with athletes, coaches, mascots, dancers and alumni while raising money for Kroenke Sports Charities.
The $150-a-ticket event also featured live music by Max Wagner Jazz, silent auction bidding, casino-style games and nibbles and beverages provided by such popular outposts as Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, STK, Kona Grill, Enstrom Candies, The Kitchen, Breckenridge Brewery and Tincup Whiskey.
Familiar faces among the guests included Martha Simmons, chief executive officer for the Pueblo Community College Foundation; Bruce Glazer, vice president and chief financial officer of Kroenke Sports Enterprises, with his wife, Wendy, and daughter, Shayna; Cancer League president Gary Reece and his wife, Barb; Marc and Kim Jefferson (she’s a senior executive with HCA Healthcare); Hagar Communications owner Susan Hagar; and Bradley Joseph, founder/president of Silver Spur Marketing.
About the organization: Kroenke Sports Charities is dedicated to improving the lives of families, children, veterans and the disabled through the spirit and power of sports. Throughout the year it offers a number of programs, directly and in partnership with other nonprofit organizations including education, health and fitness activities and direct aid.
