Arapahoe County reopens applications for small business grant

Applications are reopened for Arapahoe County’s Small Business Relief Fund Grant after additional funds were added several weeks after the original application period closed. 

The county received an additional $2.9 million through SB20B-001 that was passed through the Colorado legislature. County officials look to help local businesses that have been hit the hardest throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eligible Arapahoe County businesses can earn anywhere between $3,500 and $7,000 through the grant program, but must meet several requirements set by the county including:

  • Businesses must be: Restaurants, bars, breweries, distilleries, wineries, caterers, movie theaters, gyms or recreation centers that include bowling alley’s.
  • Provided documentation for yearly profit
  • Have lost a minimum of 20% in revenue compared to 2019
  • Committed to operate for at least six months
  • Hold a valid business license and be within good standing with issuing agency or Certificate of Good Standing
  • Cannot have received funding through the “Arts Relief Program” or “Minority Owned Business Relief Program” also established through SB20B-001
  • Must have one full-time employee or sole proprietorship

The second application window will be opened to interested business owners through March 21 at 5 p.m.
