Jefferson County opens applications for small business COVID relief grants

Applications are open for Jefferson County’s Colorado Small Business Relief Grant Program, providing funds to businesses struggling because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The State of Colorado has devoted $37 million for these relief payments to small businesses throughout the state.

If awarded the grant, Jefferson County will distribute payments directly to small businesses in the county that have experienced severe capacity restrictions due to COVID-19 public health orders.

The amount Colorado will allocate to Jefferson County for the grant program has not yet been determined.

Grant amounts to businesses will be decided by the business’s usual income prior to the pandemic.

Businesses with receipts of less than $500,000 may receive grants of up to $3,500. Businesses between $500,000 and $1 million may get up to $5,000 and businesses between $1 million and $2.5 million may get up to $7,000.

Applications for Jefferson County’s grant program close on Monday at 6 p.m. Payments will be distributed by Feb. 12.

Full eligibility requirements and application details are available on the Jeffco State Small Business Relief Grant Program page.
