Denver updated its restrictions on alcohol sales and delivery by extending hours, the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment announced Wednesday.

Under the new regulations, liquor stores can stay open and deliver alcohol until midnight and restaurants can deliver alcohol until 2 a.m.

Previously, liquor stores and restaurants in Denver were only allowed to deliver alcohol until 10 p.m. and liquor stores had to fully close at 10 p.m.

DPHE said it updated its regulations to align more closely with state rules for alcohol sales and delivery.

Last call for outdoor alcohol service is at 8 p.m. and outdoor alcohol consumption must stop at 10 p.m. Ordering alcohol via takeout and curbside service closes at 10 p.m.

Other Level Red COVID-19 regulations remain in place with the update, including the temporary ban of indoor dining and outdoor dining being limited to tables from the same household.

The updated regulations are effective immediately.
