The Pueblo Chieftain: Riding the airwaves
There’s no bucking this trend, even if we wanted to. Bull riding is becoming an increasingly important part of the fabric of our community.
No, not everyone you pass on the street is decked out in cowboy gear. And the closest some of us come to a bovine encounter is ordering a slopper from one of our local restaurants.
But the headquarters for Professional Bull Riders is located here, occupying a prime piece of real estate where Union Avenue crosses the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo. And while PBR doesn’t employ tons of people in Pueblo, it’s an organization with a high profile nationally and internationally that deserves our respect, admiration and support.
