FEEDBACK | Reinsurance program’s cost shifting was overstated

The Colorado Health Institute report in a recent “Podium” was based on a 2018 version of the bill, which used a very different funding mechanism (“THE PODIUM | Guess who’ll pick up the tab for Colorado’s reinsurance program,” Sept. 4). It’s not true that the act Gov. Polis signed into law draws half its money from fees on other insurance policies.

Otherwise, thanks for your coverage of this wonky but important topic.
