This Denver firm tops revenue list for US lobbying shops

Denver powerhouse law firm Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck tops a second-quarter list of firms that made the most money lobbying the U.S. government.

The firm brought in nearly $10.1 million in the period spanning April through June, Politico reported, followed by Washington, D.C.-based firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.

Brownstein’s revenue represents a 41% increase over the second quarter of last year and a 10% increase over the first quarter of this year, according to a press release from the firm.

“We have assembled the strongest bipartisan team of public policy advocates in the country,” said Marc Lampkin, Brownstein’s government relations department chair.

“Our team has unparalleled understanding of the complex policy landscape in Washington and the ability to assist our clients to thread the needle across the House,  Senate and executive branch.”

The firm’s 49 lobbyists include Nadeam Elshami, Zach Pfister, Brian McKeon and Jerome Murray.

David Bernhardt, a former Brownstein lobbyist, is now U.S. Interior secretary.
