Opening day of the 72nd General Assembly, first regular session. They gavel in at 10 a.m. On the agenda:
- Declaration of election results (required by the constitution to take place before the inauguration of the top statewide elected officials, including governor).
- Administration of oath of office to lawmakers (all 65 in the House, 17 in the Senate).
- Opening day speeches by the Senate President, Speaker of the House and the minority leaders of both chambers.
