Students who survived the deadly Parkland, Florida, mass shooting in February will speak at a forum Friday night at Denver’s Shorter Community AME Church.

Organizers expect 10 students, who will be joined at the forum on gun violence by local experts and advocates associated with Never Again-Colorado and Students Demand Action.

The discussion is part of the national Road to Change campaign on gun violence.

The 7 p.m. event is free, but those planning to attend should make a reservation, by clicking here. The doors open at 6 p.m.

“We are excited to see the ‘Road to Change’ stop right here in the Mile High City,” Tay Anderson, president of Never Again-Colorado, said in a statement.

He said Never Again chapter has “a duty to ensure that we are working towards educating people on the issues surrounding gun violence and also spurring action. This November, don’t expect a blue or red wave, but rather a youth wave.”

The list of students who survived the attack at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School is expected to include Emma Gonzalez, David Hogg, Jaclyn Corin, Cameron Kasky, Ryan Dietsch, Chris Grady, Kyrah Simon, Daniel Williams, Matt Dietsch and Jamal Lemmy.
