The Loveland Reporter-Herald editorial: Cooperation needed on Loveland transportation corridors

Every day, thousands of drivers battle with the traffic on Eisenhower Boulevard in east Loveland as they move to their workplaces up and down the Front Range.

Local officials know that more than half the workers in Loveland commute to other cities for their jobs – some go north to Fort Collins, and others south on U.S. 287 to Longmont and Boulder County. The largest number, however, use Eisenhower Boulevard to get to their workplace, either east to Greeley or onto I-25 and the Denver metro area.

Clearly, as Loveland grows, that corridor will need to expand – and have help from other thoroughfares.
