One take w/Peter & Joey: Bipartisanship is in the air, but for how long?
ColoradoPolitics.com’s Joey Bunch, Peter Marcus and Mary MacCarthy (she’s the one on your side of the camera) met at Denver’s Union Station to talk transportation, health care and pretty much anything else that’s going to eat up the state’s budget. How to pay for them? How else? Bipartisanship! That was the word on just about every lawmaker’s lips last week as the General Assembly convened its 2017 session in a spirit of goodwill and brotherly love.
Of course, as Joey and Peter seem to agree, those virtues are always easy to muster during opening week. And it was a short week, at that.
