Democrat Elizabeth Warren is returning to Colorado next weekend to rally supporters as the deadline to turn in presidential primary ballots approaches, her campaign announced Saturday.

It will be the sixth visit by a presidential candidate since the beginning of the month to the Super Tuesday state, as campaigns scramble to turn out voters by the March 3 election.

The Massachusetts senator will appear at Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium, 1510 Clarkson St., for a 3 p.m. rally on Feb. 23, the day after Nevada Democrats hold caucuses in the next contest in the nominating process.

Colorado is one of 14 states that vote in Democratic primaries and caucuses on Super Tuesday. Election officials started sending mail ballots to state voters this week.

Warren, who surged into second place behind former Vice President Joe Biden in national polls last fall but has dropped behind a couple more candidates in recent months, came in third in the Iowa caucuses and fourth in last week’s New Hampshire primary.

“[R]ight now, it’s wide open,” Warren told the Associated Press on Thursday. “It’s going to be a long process.”

Warren ranks third in the AP’s all-important delegate count, behind former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, and ahead of Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, whose campaign has been surging since a strong showing in New Hampshire.

Former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro, who endorsed Warren after ending his presidential campaign, rallied Warren supporters on the Front Range last weekend.

Warren drew 1,500 people to a town hall meeting in Aurora in April.

At last count, more Colorado legislators have endorsed Warren than any other Democratic presidential candidate. They include state Sens. Kerry Donovan, Faith Winter, Mike Foote and Julie Gonzales, and state Reps. Dominique Jackson and Chris Kennedy.

Her campaign said that tickets to the Feb. 22 rally in Denver aren’t required, but online reservations are encouraged. Doors open at 1:30 p.m, and entry is first-come, first-served.

In January, Buttigieg filled the Fillmore with 2,500 supporters for a small-dollar fundraiser.

Other Colorado visits by Democratic White House hopefuls in February include a stop at a campaign office in Denver on Feb. 1 by former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg, a planned Sanders rally on Sunday in Denver, a scheduled appearance by Biden at a fundraiser in Denver on Monday and an Aurora town hall to be held by Buttigieg on Feb. 21.
