Lindsey Daugherty continues to lead cash race in HD 29
In a key Democratic House primary in Jefferson County, newcomer Lindsey Daugherty continues to outraise her opponents in a crowded field, new campaign reports show.
Daugherty, a family and juvenile law attorney from Arvada, reported $12,007 last quarter, outdistancing the field in House District 29 for a second consecutive reporting period.
“As I’ve gone door-to-door in our neighborhoods, one thing is clear – we all believe in a strong Colorado that supports progressive values,” she said in a statement. “I’m consistently blown away by the generosity I’ve been shown and the determination to make this district a place where everyone can thrive.”
To date, Daugherty has raised $32,832.
Victoria Lopez, a Democrat from Arvada, has $18,275 as of Dec. 31, and fellow Democrat Amber Hott of Westminster collected $6,395 in contributions.
Vanessa Warren-Demott of Westminster, the only Republican, brought in $562.
Incumbent Democratic Rep. Tracy Kraft-Tharp of Arvada is barred from running again because of Colorado’s four-term limit in the House. She is running for the Jefferson County Commission.
