Donald Trump Jr. coming to Denver this weekend

As the president ramps up his reelection campaign, his son Donald Trump Jr. will be in Denver this weekend.

Trump Jr. will speak at the annual Western Conservative Summit on Friday, the Centennial Institute, which puts on the event, announced Monday morning.

“Donald Trump Jr. is one of the boldest conservative voices in the nation,” Jeff Hunt, chairman of the event and director of the Centennial Institute, said in a statement.

“He is a warrior for limited government, free markets, personal freedom and the Constitution. We are elated he will be speaking at the Western Conservative Summit.”

The elder Trump spoke at the summit in 2016, soon after clinching the GOP nomination.

The president’s oldest son is the executive vice president of The Trump Organization. He also has been a central figure in Trump’s scandals, including accepting a meeting with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya in Trump Tower in June 2016. Ultimately he was not charged by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

He did not tell his father about the meeting, the younger Trump told a closed-door, Republican-led Senate committee last month.

The summit, in its 10th year, is billed as the largest annual gathering of conservative leaders, activists and operatives outside of Washington, D.C.
