Colorado Democrats plan to hold 2020 primary on Super Tuesday (VIDEO)
Colorado Democrats plan to hold their 2020 presidential promary on “Super Tuesday,” March 3, the day when the greatest number of delegates are at stake in the primary calendar.
The decision, which has not been officially announced, was confirmed Friday by the Colorado Democratic Party.
The date must be approved by Gov. Jared Polis. His staff said an announcement would be made soon.
Colorado held its caucuses on the Super Tuesday of 2016 — March 1 — but that system has since been abandoned for primary elections. Adding to the intrigue of 2020, Colorado’s unaffiliated voters will also have the chance to vote in primary elections for the first time.
Other states expected to hold primaries on Super Tuesday next year include California, Massachusetts, Minnesota and Texas.
