The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel: An environment of fear in our schools

While it’s natural for the subject of school shootings to be on everyone’s lips in the wake of the recent massacre in Florida, School District 51 appears to be caught in the clutches of escalating paranoia.

The district’s communications team has seemingly been working overtime this week to quell fears about an uptick in reports of students making threatening statements.
