Menconi: Our world is not for sale

I’m Arn Menconi, and I am a candidate for U.S. Senate for the Green Party.

I am running, because as a dad of two young children, our generation must take our democracy back. I want to represent the people, not corporations and the top one percent.

I will fight to end the military industrial dominance of our government with its endless greed and killings, end our dependence on fossil fuels by 2050, provide single payer healthcare for all as a right not as a privilege and break up the big banks and power of Wall Street that has been stealing resources from our children and grandchildren.

This country is run by a global corporate mafia that has written the rules, laws and free trade agreements discarding the need for sovereign borders and replacing them with lines of delineation over which they have total control. They no longer pay for the resources that make their profits. And they have rented their politicians — elected officials who need their wealth, power and influence to win. Meanwhile, they lie to the citizens, claiming they are serving democracy.

This is a crime. It’s called Kleptocracy. I will fight everyday exposing this, and I will make sure every senator, representative and the president represent the people — not corporate totalitarianism.

Our world is not for sale. Our country will not be the largest terrorist. Our judicial system will not lock up the whistleblower & communities of color while politicians commit war crimes and CEOs commit fraud. They will no longer walk free while we become slaves.

There is no peace without justice, and justice will prevail.

I am a former Eagle County Commissioner and former executive director of a national outdoor youth charity, and I am dedicated to social justice.

I am taking on establishment politicians by demanding we take back America from corporate government and fight for the people.

I’m hope I get your support. Learn more about me at www.arnmenconi.com.

May: Can America change course?

The next president needs a new approach to national security. That may be easier said than done. As you watch the circus that is the 2016 presidential campaign, which candidate strikes you as having a coherent vision of national security for the post-Obama era? Who has told you what he (or she) will do about […]
