News: The historic Lakeside Amusement Park, 4601 Sheridan Blvd., once again is the setting for Summer Scream, a fundraiser for Denver Film.

The 13th edition of this popular event begins at 6 p.m. on Aug. 21 and will have an immersive summer camp theme.

“We’re excited to return to the iconic Lakeside Amusement Park for Denver’s most thrilling nonprofit arts fundraiser,” said Esther Lopez, Denver Film’s events specialist. “Many say it’s the party of the summer and this year is no different. It’s your chance to go back in time to summer camp with friendly competitions, a talent show, arts and crafts and surprises throughout the park. Forget your responsibilities as you explore the campgrounds and create unforgettable memories you’ll want to write home about.”

Summer Scream is a 21-and-over event.

Tickets are $75 for Denver Film members, $85 for nonmembers and $225 for a pack of four tickets. They can be purchased by visiting denverfilm.org
