Over 1 million Colorado voters have cast ballots with one week left

With Election Day just a week away, over one million Colorado voters have cast their ballots — about a quarter of the state’s registered voters.

To date, 98% of the ballots returned have been by mail.

The U.S. Postal Service is recommending voters who still plan to vote by mail do so by today to ensure timely delivery. For those returning ballots closer to Election Day, USPS suggests dropping them off in person to ensure they reach elections officials in time.

Of the ballots returned in Colorado so far, about 40% were from Unaffiliated voters, 30% from Democrats, 28% from Republicans, and 0.16% from members of the American Constitution Party.

Just over 1.7 million ballots were turned in by this time in 2020.
