Colorado Lt. Gov. Dianne Primavera is hospitalized for infection
Colorado’s Lt. Gov. Dianne Primavera was admitted to the hospital due to an infection Wednesday night, according to state officials.
“Lt. Governor Primavera is one of the strongest and toughest people I know and we are glad she is taking extra caution and getting the care she deserves so she can return to her role as the best Lt. Governor in the country as soon as possible. I was not surprised when I learned that she plans to continue working today,” said Governor Jared Polis.
No other information was provided about what caused the infection, but officials from the governor’s office said they would be provide more details as they become available.
Primavera, serving as the backup to Gov. Jared Polis, is serving in her second term.
