Advocates on both sides of abortion debate expected to organize protests in response to court ruling

Advocates on both sides of the debate are expected to organize protests following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade on Friday.

As of 2 p.m. Friday, here’s the protests scheduled both online and at the state Capitol.

  • 5:00 p.m. signmaking, followed by a 6 p.m. rally, hosted by SDS Denver. 
  • 5:30 p.m. protest organized by Denver branch of the Party for Socialism and Liberation, state Capitol
  • 6 p.m. League of Women Voters rally, state Capitol
  • 6:30 p.m. Community Care session via Zoom, hosted by COBALT. Registration required.

Colorado Springs, 6 p.m.: March from Sen. Michael Bennet’s office at 409 N Tejon St. to Sen. John Hickenlooper’s office, 102 South Tejon St. Meet up at Acacia Park, 115 E. Platte Ave., at 6 p.m. Hosted by Colorado Springs Democratic Socialists of America.

Monday, June 27, 6 p.m. COBALT rally on the west steps of the state Capitol.
