Denver’s iconic Clocktower Cabaret to reopen Valentine’s Day weekend

After months of COIVD-19 closures, the iconic Clocktower Cabaret in downtown Denver is set to reopen over Valentine’s Day weekend.

In celebration of its 15th year, the Clocktower Cabaret will be hosting a series of pandemic-friendly live shows throughout February, featuring its unique blend of burlesque and comedy.

The festivities will kick off with performances of Cupid’s Delight Valentine, held every night from Feb. 11-14. Each night will feature a different set of burlesque and comedy acts with emcees Bender Flames and Selene Arca.

Then, the Clocktower Cabaret will give Denverites a second chance to celebrate Halloween with Boolesque 2: Halloween Re-Do from Feb. 19-21 and Feb. 26-28, featuring festive performances and costumes.

This will be the Clocktower Cabaret’s third reopening attempt since the COVID-19 pandemic began, as Denver County has moved in and out of Level Red restrictions, forcing indoor venues and entertainment businesses to close.

Under the county’s current Level Orange status, businesses such as the Clocktower Cabaret are able to operate at 25% capacity.

For the Clocktower Cabaret’s 150-person venue, that means shows are limited to 30 audience members in groups of no more than six.

All performers and staff members wear masks throughout the night and receive temperature checks. Audience members may remove masks while seated at their tables but have to wear them to walk around.

Though scheduled shows are currently limited to February, the Clocktower Cabaret hopes to add more shows and events to its calendar for March and later months.

Patrons enjoy a performance at downtown Denver’s Clocktower Cabaret before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
