The Pueblo Chieftain: Strike a deal on teacher pay

Nobody wins a strike.

Let’s hope that Pueblo City Schools (D60) teachers, paraprofessionals and administrators all understand that. Last week, the unions representing the teachers and paraprofessionals both voted to initiate a process that could lead to a strike.

But that hasn’t happened yet, at least not formally. Some teachers have called in sick, forcing school closures, which is an irresponsible move at this point.
