DENVER — Good morning — another big political Tuesday on the 2016 campaign trail today. A potential Colorado GOP bellwether, the polls are open in Wisconsin for the Democratic and Republican primary elections with Ted Cruz the narrowly favored Republican to win over Donald Trump in The Badger State. Cruz is currently polling with 41.2 percent of the vote to Trump’s 38.2 percent and John Kasich‘s 21.0 percent. Meanwhile, Trump claims he will have a big victory. Bernie Sanders is also polling narrowly ahead of Hillary Clinton in Wisconsin, 49.3 percent to 45.8 percent. Today’s primary results will likely set the tone for Colorado’s GOP delegate selection this Friday and Saturday, where 28 more delegates will be selected to go to Cleveland in July as a contested GOP convention becomes more and more likely. Also today, some of the GOP U.S. Senate candidates will appear in their first televised debate tonight (more on that below).
