CPW officers rescue orphaned ducklings in Durango
Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers rescued some ducklings after their mother was hit by a car in Durango last week.
According to an X post from CPW, officers “scooped them up” and took them to safety, providing some mealworms to eat while they found a place to take them. The ducklings were taken to the community pond in Pagosa Springs.
CPW said that their goal was to match the ducklings with another duck family that is willing to adopt them.
Officers were able to find a duck family at the pond in Pagosa Springs and introduce the orphaned ducklings to them.
