Weapons, 23,000-plus fentanyl pills and more drugs seized amid downtown Colorado Springs arrests: Police

A man and a woman were arrested for the possession of illegal weapons and the unlawful possession of controlled substances Wednesday in Colorado Springs, according to a police blotter entry.

Officers arrested the man on a felony eluding charge and the woman on an unrelated warrant in the 100 block of South Cascade Avenue. Police found drug paraphernalia, hundreds of rounds in loaded magazines of various calibers, five rifles, including one ghost rifle, four pistols, two of which were stolen, about 23,500 fentanyl pills (2,351.26 grams), 14 grams of marijuana, about one gram of LSD, 51.41 grams of heroin, 58.44 grams of cocaine, 411.89 grams of methamphetamine and more than $14,000 worth of illegal activity funds.

Police obtained a warrant to search the man’s residence in the 4100 block of Hidden Circle near North Academy Boulevard and Austin Bluffs Parkway where they found an additional 32.3 grams of meth, 13.5 grams of fentanyl, five firearms, 8.9 grams of cocaine, and $2,266 worth of illegal activity funds.

Both suspects were booked into the El Paso County jail on multiple narcotics and illegal weapons charges.
