WWE hall of famer and Knox County, Tennessee, Mayor Glenn Jacobs detailed the “masculinity problem” the Democratic Party is currently facing, a problem he argued was created by the party’s own doing.

Jacobs, also known by his wrestling moniker Kane, made his remark when responding to recent comments by Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), who appeared to challenge supporters of President Donald Trump to a fight when he claimed he could “kick most of their a**” in a recent podcast appearance. Following Walz’s remarks, Jacobs proposed a wrestling match between him and the Minnesota governor, suggesting that Walz’s remark was “completely inappropriate” and needed to be called out.

“Obviously, the Democrats realize that in catering to the far left-wing of their party, they have created a masculinity problem for themselves, which shouldn’t come as a surprise,” Jacobs said on Fox News’s Fox and Friends. “After all, they’ve been preaching for years that there’s no difference between men and women. However, they believe that masculinity means that you get on TV and you talk tough and you drop the occasional curse word, and you go out and apparently being strong means that you burn down Tesla dealerships, which obviously that is not what being masculine or being tough is all about. In fact, they just look like petulant, spoiled little brats.”

Jacobs also assessed how there has been an “attack” on both men and strong people in general, which he argued comes from the Democratic Party’s philosophy of wanting “weak people” who rely on the government. As such, he aims to encourage people to be “strong-minded” and be as independent as they possibly can be.

When asked how Democrats could win back younger male voters, Jacobs suggested they need to be “sincere” and authentic, arguing this is why so many voters love and support Trump. He added that the party is “trying to be Donald Trump,” but voters are able to “see right through all this stuff.” 

On Saturday afternoon, Jacobs posted a video of himself test-driving a Tesla Cybertruck, waving to several Tesla protesters out the window as the car was in self-driving mode. Multiple people have offered to buy a Tesla vehicle as others have protested the electric vehicle company due to Elon Musk’s work with the Trump administration.

Jacobs’s pitch to face off against Walz, which he nicknamed “The Tennessee Walz,” would see the two politicians fight to raise money for charity, with Jacobs offering to split the money raised between his and Walz’s choice of organizations. As of Sunday afternoon, Jacobs announced on X that almost $100,000 has been pledged for this potential matchup.
