WATCH LIVE: Kamala Harris addresses NCAA champions in first public appearance since Biden withdrawal

Vice President Kamala Harris is honoring many of the 2024 NCAA championship teams in an event known as “College Athlete Day.”

The celebration marks the vice president’s first public appearance since President Joe Biden announced he would not be seeking reelection this November. Biden was set to host the event but was diagnosed with COVID-19 and is self-isolating.

Harris will deliver remarks at the White House. Last year, more than 50 teams were present.

Tuesday, Harris will fly to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for her first campaign event now that she is running for president. It is unclear if the rest of her previous campaign schedule will remain the same now that Biden has left the race.
