CDPHE approves Broomfield County’s 5 Star State Certification application

Broomfield County will be launching its Back to Business Certification Program on Monday after learning the Colorado Department of Public Health approved their 5 Star State Certification application on Wednesday.
Although the program has been approved by the state, officials said the initial certified businesses will not be informed about their certification and will not operate until Jan. 8.
The program is designed to ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents and customers, while also allowing local businesses to operate one level higher than the state’s COVID-19 currently allows.
Broomfield joins Douglas County as the only Denver metro counties to be approved by the state to begin implementing the statewide program.
Applications for the county’s Back to Business Certification Program will open on Monday.
Businesses interested in applying for the certification program are encouraged to attend a live virtual Q&A forum on Wednesday that can be found on the county’s website.
