All of Rocky Mountain National Park closed because of wildfire
All of Rocky Mountain National Park was closed to visitors Thursday morning because of fire activity on the west side of the Continental Divide.
A news release regarding the closure referred to the situation as “rapidly evolving.”
If possible, an infrared flight will take place to determine where there is current fire activity. Air quality at the park is currently hazardous.
Trail Ridge Road is not passable on the western side because of downed trees.
The East Troublesome Fire has reached 125,677 acres after growing by approximately 6,000 acres an hour on Wednesday.
