Denver’s Hancock plans online talk on good neighbors
In case you don’t get enough of Denver Mayor Michael Hancock in the news pages and broadcasts, he’ll be coming through your broadband Wednesday evening.
That’s when the mayor is planning an online conversation with Sarah Friar, the CEO of the social networking site Nextdoor, to talk about good neighbors.
The livestream will be available on the mayor’s YouTube channel and his Facebook page beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Hancock and Friar will answer questions from city residents questions and talk about “the critical role neighborhoods play in civic life and city government,” according to the mayor’s office.
They also will present Great Neighbor awards to Denver residents “who go above and beyond for their neighbors.”
Friar is in town to promoting Nextdoor’s new digital foray, “Ladies Who Launch,” which generates small businesses.
