Colorado Court of Appeals judge to retire

Nancy J. Lichtenstein will retire as a Colorado Court of Appeals judge on Jan. 8, more than a decade after her appointment.
The former state public defender was appointed to the appellate court by former Gov. Bill Ritter in 2008. She earned a law degree at the University of Denver in 1988.
The state Supreme Court Nominating Commission has invited attorneys to apply to fill the vacancy. Click here for more information.
The commission will meet on Aug. 14 and 15 at the Ralph L. Carr Colorado Justice Center in downtown Denver to interview applicants and select nominees for appointment by the governor.
