An independent expenditure committee is spending $50,000 for Front Range radio spots to promote Walker Stapleton’s support of conservative educational values.

Colorado Politics has been telling you for a while of the hundreds of thousands of dollars the teachers’ union, the Colorado Education Association, and other left-leaning education groups are spending to promote Democrat Cary Kennedy for governor.

The spot that began airing Wednesday features Ready Colorado, a conservative nonprofit that supports broader school choices than tradition public schools (with unionized teachers) – “public, private, charter, traditional, magnet, virtual or home school,” Ready Colorado says on its website.

It was paid for by the Better Jobs Coalition, a group of conservatives led by businessman and Republican politico Rick Enstrom.

The $50k ad buy is interesting partly because Better Jobs reported just $585.30 in its account as of June 13, the cut-off for its last financial report with the Secretary of State’s Office. It reported no donations and $50 in spending last quarter.

Here’s the radio ad’s script:
