Colorado U.S. Attorney responds to Jeff Sessions’ marijuana policy reversal

Colorado U.S. Attorney Bob Troyer painted the first picture of how his office would move forward with marijuana prosecution following Attorney General Jeff Session’s announcement of a reversal in an Obama-era marijuana policy.

Colorado has “already been guided by these principles in marijuana prosecutions” and that “consistent with the Attorney General’s latest guidance, continue to take this approach in all of our work with our law enforcement partners throughout Colorado.”

Troyer was appointed by Sessions to his position in November after replacing John Walsh in August 2016.
