EDITORIAL: North College collaboration demonstrates city’s potential
When we work together, we win.
Our community took a tremendous step forward recently when multiple agencies committed to solving a longstanding problem for an under-served community north of downtown Fort Collins.
A 1,000-foot stretch of road has no sidewalks and no bike lanes, features that are critical connection points to social services and stores across a busy U.S. Highway 287.
It runs from the canal just north of Willox Lane to the turnoff for Terry Lake Road. The road runs through Colorado Department of Transportation territory to the north and the city of Fort Collins to the south but also is under Larimer County jurisdiction.
