The Pueblo Chieftain editorial: CSU-Pueblo wildlife degree
Colorado State University-Pueblo will collaborate with the CSU System and Fort Collins in offering the only bachelor’s degrees in wildlife and natural resources in the state.
The new Pueblo program, to be implemented over the next few years, will emphasize aquatic and terrestrial wildlife studies. Seed funding for the first two years came from the CSU System in conjunction with an established program at CSU in Fort Collins. They are the only Wildlife and Natural Resources Management degrees in the state.
“We are certainly grateful to the CSU System for the initial funding,” said CSU-Pueblo President Lesley Di Mare. “And I’m especially proud of the mutually beneficial partnerships we have established with the PuebloPlex and donors like Gary and Georgia Walker, which will provide a diverse set of field experiences for our students.”
