State GOP names communications director

The Colorado Republican Party has named Kyle Kohli as its new communications director, party officials said Monday.
Kohli, 27, is a graduate of the University of Colorado and most recently worked as digital director for Change Maryland, that state’s Republican governor’s grassroots advocacy organization. In the last campaign cycle, he was communications director for the Republican National Committee’s Victory operation backing the U.S. Senate campaign in Alaska. He’s also worked at the Washington Free Beacon, an online site “[d]edicated to uncovering the stories that the professional left hopes will never see the light of day.”
“Kyle has an extensive track record of success on campaigns all across the country,” said state GOP chairman Steve House in a statement. “He is a wonderful addition to our already stellar team and we feel fortunate to have him on our staff.” House called Kohli “an exceptional writer and a personable guy.”
“Colorado Republicans will have exceptional candidates up and down the ballot in 2016,” Kohli said. “I am looking forward to helping our nominees deliver conservative solutions that will improve the lives of everyday Coloradans.”
