Letter: Pardon who? Hick could start with non-violent pot offenders

Editor:

If President Obama can commute the sentences of 46 non-violent drug offenders, then why can’t Gov. Hickenlooper pardon all non-violent drug (marijuana) felons? It would save Colorado taxpayers many millions of dollars each year, but that’s too easy of a solution.Sen. Cory Gardner & Sen. Michael Bennet have co-sponsored a bill in Congress that would allow marijuana dispensaries to legally do business with financial institutions in the state.

What has Hickenlooper done to address the issues associated with the legalization of recreational marijuana? How about a special session to review sentencing laws, as a start?
