Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet coming to Fountain and Pueblo this weekend
Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet will be coming to Fountain and Pueblo for a veteran’s roundtable and a town hall, respectively, this Saturday.
Bennet will participate in the roundtable in Fountain before heading to Pueblo East High School for the town hall at 3 p.m.
The roundtable, to be held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6461, will discuss persistent challenges facing veterans, including access to Department of Veterans Affairs services, housing affordability, mental health support and navigating federal benefits, according to an announcement from his office.
Bennet also has scheduled town halls next week, at Arapahoe High School in Centennial on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. and in the Davis Auditorium at the University of Denver on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
The town halls and roundtable come after the senator’s announcement in April to run for governor in 2026.
Bennet last visited Colorado Springs in March for a town hall at Harrison High School. Most of the gathering was spent discussing how to better push back on actions and policy changes by the Trump administration.
