News: Skiers and snowboarders of all levels and abilities are invited to Ski for NSCD on March 22, spending a day on the mountain at Winter Park Resort to raise money for the National Sports Center for the Disabled’s year-round adaptive outdoor programs.

Participants may board the gondola at Winter Park Resort at 8:30 a.m. for the event’s 9 a.m. start.

The registration fee is $75. Additionally, each participant must raise a minimum $150. That sum can be self-funded or reached via donations from one’s friends or families.

Participants can ski or snowboard solo or join a team to compete in activities that include a ride-ever-lift challenge, scavenger hunt and spring skiing costume contests.

Everyone who registers will receive a free lift pass and chances to win IKON passes, gear from presenting sponsor The North Face and other great prizes.

The day concludes with an apres-ski party from 4-6 p.m. at the base of Winter Park Resort.

As of press time, $46,545 of the event’s $70,000 goal had been raised.
