For 25 years, Leadership Arts has been dedicated to building an inclusive community of arts advocates by ensuring that cultural nonprofits are led by diverse, effective, and inspired board members.

The 2024-25 edition runs from September 2024 to May 2025, with a curriculum that covers board governance, legal and fiscal stewardship, equity and inclusion, fundraising, and advocacy. Current topics like social justice, healing and creative districts also will be addressed.

Participants will learn the ins and outs of nonprofit board service by connecting with professionals from various industries and backgrounds. They’ll also participate in behind-the-scenes tours and engaging activities while sharpening their leadership skills and building confidence.

Tuition is $1,950 for CBCA members and their employees. If three CBCA member employees enroll, tuition is reduced to $1,700 per person. Non-member tuition is $2,450.

A limited number of full and partial scholarships from the Deborah Jordy Leadership Scholarship Fund are available, with preference given to applicants from under-represented and historically marginalized communities.
