Ford “will prioritize increasing mobility and safety while reducing congestion and fighting climate change,” and “will lead the teams that plan, design, build, and maintain the city’s infrastructure,” the mayor’s office said in a news release.
“Amy Ford will lead DOTI with a roadmap for a dynamic mobility ecosystem that improves the quality of life for all Denverites,” Johnston said in the release. “Her depth of leadership and experience will create a connected, community-focused multi-modal network that will improve our city.”
A 25-year resident of Denver, Ford has two children, a daughter, who is a junior in college and a son, who is a senior in Denver Public Schools. She likes to play pick-up and league basketball in her spare time, the mayor’s office said.
